Here’s a few portraits I shot recently for F1 Racing magazine. F1 development driver, Susie Wolff, was photographed at this years British Grand Prix. As she was the first female in 22 years to drive at a Grand Prix weekend, she was very much in demand with the media. As a result, I had to be super quick shooting the photo.
Richard Cregan, former racing driver and F1 team boss, was photographed at the Spanish Grand Prix for an interview on his current role as a Grand Prix event organiser/consultant.
I had the pleasure of covering the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon for the first time. This great little event is organised by Jenson and his Trust for anyone who wishes to enter and raise money for Cancer Research UK. Here’s the spread.
Had a great time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year working for Red Bull UK. They certainly put on a show on the famous hill climb as well as showcasing some of their action sport talent.
This was a recent feature for F1 Racing magazine; A behind the scenes look at how Sky operate during the Monaco Grand Prix. A bit of reportage for me this time. Had a interesting time seeing how complex their operation is and how many people are involved. One of the highlights was a visit to the commentary box, mid-race, to shoot commentators Martin Brundle and David Croft at work.
Here’s a few pages from a feature I recently shot for F1 Racing magazine. It was a great day seeing Bruno Senna try out his Uncle’s old F1 cars.
Just going through some old iPhone photos recently I came across this snap I took in Austin airport, back in November, of a Jenson Button Mobile1 advert I shot. The original photo was shot at Jerez circuit in Spain during Mclaren’s pre season filming and photography day. It’s always nice to see your work in print especially when it’s billboard sized.
I’ll kick off with a little nod to last weekends Canadian Grand Prix winner, Daniel Ricciardo. These portraits were shot in September last year in a Singapore hotel for F1 Racing magazine. Daniel was cool to work with and was true to his friendly reputation showing off his trademark smile. On showing Daniel the photos during the shoot, he quipped in true Aussie style “yes mate, that’ll pull the chicks!”
